It is with great sadness that we report the death of The Plymouth Athenaeum’s former Honorary General Secretary, Mike Scoble

Mike Scoble served as Honorary General Secretary of The Athenaeum from 1998 to 2014 and was made an Honorary Life Member in 2015.

We are sure that we speak for everybody who knew Mike when we say he will be greatly missed.

Members present at The President’s Address joined together in a moment’s silence to remember the life of Mike Scoble and his contribution to The Plymouth Athenaeum.

Mike’s funeral will take place on Thursday, 19^th October at 2pm at Mount Gould Methodist Church. It will be followed by a memorial service at Drake Memorial Park at 2.45pm.

A reception will then be held at The Athenaeum.
