The Plymouth Literature Festival returns next week with five days of events for readers and writers.
Kicking off PlymLit18 on Thursday, October 25 (7.30pm) will be a lecture from Professor Angela K Smith at The Plymouth Athenaeum.
Professor Smith’s lecture is titled ‘What Difference Did the War Make? The First World War and the Campaign for Women’s Suffrage’.
On Friday, October 26 (7pm) Outspoken Poetry: Live comes to Ocean Studios.
And as part of a Saturday double-bill, Natasha Carthew returns to the Plymouth Literature Festival as she begins her WRITING THE WILD Tour on Saturday, October 27.
That evening festival favourites Plymouth Language Club, Plymouth’s premier showcase of poetry in bringing acclaimed readers from outside the region to the city, will be lighting up PlymLit again.
On Sunday, October 28 CrossCountry Writers’ Open Mic will offer readers the chance to share their work in another iconic setting.
Rounding off the festival will be Athenaeum Writers’ popular Flash Fiction Slam competition (7.30pm).
