Winter Lecture series opens with ‘From the Silk Road to Trump Tower’

Dr Patrick Holden opens The Plymouth Athenaeum’s 2019 Winter Lecture series with ‘From the Silk Road to Trump Tower: Visions of Trade and Politics’ on Thursday, February 7 (2.30pm).

The lecture will outline the relationship between international trade and politics in world history, leading up to the controversies of the current era (it will be free of statistics).

Patrick Holden is an Associate Professor of International Relations at the University of Plymouth. He has published many works on economic diplomacy and politics, including two books published by Ashgate and Routledge.

He is also The Athenaeum’s Lecture Secretary.

Lectures are free and open to the public.
