The British Civil Wars at Sea, 1638-1653: Why they Matter

The Plymouth Athenaeum’s 2019 Spring Lecture series, which is part of Plymouth History Festival, concludes with Dr Elaine Murphy’s talk on ‘The British Civil Wars at Sea, 1638-1653: Why they Matter’ on Thursday, 23rd May (7.30pm).

Dr Murphy is Associate Head of School – History and Art History in the School of Humanities and Performing Arts at Plymouth University.

Her published works include The British Civil Wars at Sea, 1638-1653, and Ireland and the War at Sea, 1641-1653.

Lectures are free and open to the public.
